Ian C. Hurley is committed to help his clients protect their family and property. This starts by getting a snapshot of your situation. Once this has been done, he will work with you to create a will or trust that will be most beneficial to you and your loved ones.
A will, or a last will and testament, is a set of instructions left behind after you pass away. This document keeps your family and property protected and reflects your exact instructions including:
We can draw up a will that is as complex or simple as you wish, so you won’t leave your family unprotected and having to fight the court for the property they’re entitled to.
Trusts are useful when it comes to protecting your assets. Ian C. Hurley has the knowledge and resources needed to create a trust that best suits your needs and protects your assets. Ian C. Hurley can help you set up one of two types of trusts.
Irrevocable Trust: Unlike a revocable trust, you are generally not allowed to make changes to an irrevocable trust. When you put assets into this trust, you are removing your rights to ownership. It is your named trustee who has the responsibility to make sure that the assets are properly distributed to the beneficiaries.
Revocable Trust: This type of trust holds your assets and allows you to manage them and take out money when needed. You are also allowed to make changes to the terms of your revocable trust as well. A successor trustee is appointed to step in and manage your assets if you become incapacitated and take over when you pass away.
